BMPS 2026 Round 3 Qualifiers: Heavyweights Clash in the Ultimate Promotion-Relegation Gauntlet
The battle for Riyadh intensifies as BMPS 2026 Round 3 kicks off with a ruthless promotion-relegation structure, putting India's top BGMI squads to the ultimate test.

The Brutal Math of Promotion & Relegation 🔄
For the first time in the tournament's history, KRAFTON India and Tesseract Esports have instituted a ruthless tier-based promotion and relegation system. Across a four-day window, each of the four groups will play six matches across Erangel, Miramar, and Rondo. The rules are uncompromising:
- The top 4 teams from Groups B, C, and D will climb up one tier into Groups A, B, and C respectively.
- The bottom 4 teams from Groups A, B, and C will be instantly relegated down a tier.
- Teams finishing 5th to 12th will remain in their current groups.
- Crucially, at the end of the four-round qualifier stage (ending May 31), the bottom 8 teams of Group D are permanently eliminated from BMPS 2026.
Group A: The Deadliest Lobby in Indian BGMI History 💀
Round 3's Group A is an absolute slaughterhouse, compiling the most decorated organizations in the country. Defending BGIS 2026 champions iQOO Soul are sharing the lobby with current KIE Global Points leaders iQOO Orangutan and BGIS runners-up Genesis Esports. They are flanked by a heavily reconstructed GodLike Esports—now under Manya's leadership following Jonathan's departure—and the formidable Revenant XSpark.
With GodLike Esports, K9 Esports, and WindGod noted as underperformers in Round 2, Group A is a critical testing ground. GodLike especially has massive narrative pressure, with their newest recruit Saumay stepping into the massive shoes left behind by Jonathan.
The Rise of the Underdogs and the 'Jonathan' Factor 🚀
Round 2 wasn't without its massive shifts. Vasista Esports, spearheaded by Hector, absolutely ran away with Group B by securing a whopping 90 points, two Chicken Dinners, and 62 eliminations to earn their Group A promotion. Meanwhile, in Group C, True Rippers demonstrated a masterclass in survival, topping their group with 61 points without a single Chicken Dinner.
All eyes also remain glued to the lower brackets where Team Apex Gaming (TAG), the brand-new organization founded by Jonathan Amaral following his high-profile April exit from GodLike, currently sits. Finishing 6th in Group C during Round 2 with 48 points, TAG must mount a massive campaign in Round 3 to keep their EWC Riyadh dreams alive.
